JESUS CHRIST

Who is Jesus? That is the all-important question.

Christ Church exists to provide a true and compelling answer to that question for all who are seeking.

Put very simply, Jesus is God. Yet he became a man to save the world.

Jesus is God.

The Bible is very clear that Jesus is divine. He has always existed and always will exist. Jesus saw himself as God during his earthly life as well. Because he is God, he has both the authority and the power to heal, teach, perform miracles, and forgive our sins.

Jesus is a Man.

The Bible also teaches that Jesus is a man. He is not a man who ceased to be God. He is also not a man who became God after living a perfect life. He is God who became a man and remained fully God at the same time. Because Jesus is a man, he is able to identify with all of our human experiences, struggles, and frailty. He is also, as a man, able to take the punishment for our sin upon himself on the cross.

Jesus is the Savior.

Jesus, the God-man, is our Savior. He lived an earthly life free of sin because we couldn't. He died on the cross to atone for the sins of men and to undo the separation we once had with God. He was physically resurrected from the dead and is alive today. Jesus is actively drawing people to himself with the free offer of forgiveness to anyone who will believe that he is who he says he is and trust him. His offer is not conditional and not based on anything we do or don't do; it is a free gift from a Savior who created us to have fellowship with him.
